Workshop “Network of Liveable Cities - a journey towards future city making”

Interactive worskhop at XVIII UBC General Conference.

How do we envision liveable cities in the future in the Baltic Sea Region? And what can city administrations do to create and foster spaces and communities that embrace citizens and allow them to thrive?

The seminar will showcase key results of the cities’ journey towards liveability, but also mark the start of something new: The signing of the Charter by city
representatives will be the kick-off for a Network of Liveable Cities in which cooperation and professional exchange on design methods, placemaking and citizen engagement is continued and which cities of all sizes from the Baltic Sea Region are invited to join.

As the Liveable Cities Network will be aligned with the EU’s New European Bauhaus initiative, the seminar will also highlight future cooperation and funding opportunities for cities.

  • Introduction to workshop and Liveable Cities (15 min) Partners of the Liveabilityproject
  • 2 practical examples of how partner and twin cities have applied the Liveabilty Design Approach (15 min)
